DARK PHOENIX

The X-Men franchise has entertained us with some GREAT movies, but they need to STOP now. I had a bad feeling about DARK PHOENIX already when trailers were released. Needless to say, it was a BIG disappointment.

DARK PHOENIX, MAYBE NOT

DARK PHOENIX – Jean Grey (Phoenix) falls short in this installment of the X-Men franchise. The movie is suppose to be about the Dark Phoenix, but it was more heavy on Professor X and how he HELPS Jean overcome her past. The movie felt rushed, too many things happening at once. They don’t explain how certain characters came about in the movie and just jumps to the next. Story lags, visuals and action sequences were probably the only decent part of the movie. I think they need to stop making more, and just forget about X-Men for now LOL…  2ThumbsUP gives this movie 2.5/5.

Avengers-Endgame

Ok Guys, I know many of you fans have seen the movie and are probably lost of words.. Marvel, you are BRILLIANT!!! As soon as they announced this movie was happening, I was just counting the days. Sadly, I had to wait 2 extra days to watch it, thanks to the CRASH of AMC site when they released the pre-sale tickets. I ignored all comments and refused to look at social media for all possible spoilers.

Ultimate Battle

Avengers: Endgame – Just when you thought Infinity Wars left us speechless, Endgame pushes that further and you want MORE… Every minute of the 3 hour long movie was a MASTERPIECE. The dilemma of the vanished superheroes, how to defeat thanos and save the world. All this is answered amazingly, while keeping the great comedic scenes, action packed and emotions. I refuse to discuss the story, because it won’t do justice to the movie and you MUST go see it. I can go on and on but I know I have to stop here because I don’t want you to think I’m CRAZY… 2ThumbsUP gives this movie 5/5.

 

Shazam

I was a bit skeptical about this movie when the trailers first came out, and I wasn’t feeling Zachary Levi in Shazam’s character. So I decided to wait a while before I gave this movie a TRY!! I take my words back, it was actually a decent watch and, Levi does a good job as Shazam.

SHAZAM

SHAZAM – Billy Batson a teenager, gets a new foster family and tries to adjust. During one of his night out, he enters a realm where he comes across an old sorcerer. He transfers his powers, onto Billy and BAM you have SHAZAM…. From a teen to an adult, Billy tries adjust with his new life with the help of his foster brother. He learns about his powers and all. Sounds easy right, well there’s one thing missing a BAD guy haha. Yes there is one in here and as always the SUPERHERO must save the world from EVIL! Funny, good story, Levi performance as Shazam changed my mind about him. 2ThumbsUP gives this movie a 3.5/5.

Captain Marvel

There might be a few of you, who may not agree with me on this review. Only because you’r just a more DIE HARD fan of MARVEL and cant’ say anything bad about their movies lol!!! So it’s totally fine and you are more then welcome to comment as well.

Girl Power

CAPTAIN MARVEL – I was a bit skeptical about this movie, when the previews first came out. But I still hoped it would prove me wrong, unfortunately my hunch was right and the movie was not 100% MARVEL quality. First half of the movie, started slow and picks up in the second half. The acting, was a little flat, Brie Larson lacked that EXCITEMENT that ALL Marvel Heroes have been providing. The story was good and it was not action packed like they normally are. Overall, it was a let down and it’s very rare I feel like this about SUPERHERO movies!!  2ThumbsUP gives this movie 3/5.

VENOM- reviewed

Marvel is slowly introducing new comic characters and so far they ALL have been pretty BADASS! Marvels final 2018, most awaited movie VENOM was finally out yesterday. The reviews may not be the greatest but don’t get disheartened, if your a TRUE FAN just go out and watch it NOW……

GET OUT OF MY HEAD

VENOM – I’m not a big fan of Tom Hardy (fyi, he is a great actor.) He was the perfect choice for this role. Journalist Eddie Brock (aka Venom) is trying to take down Carlton Drake the BAD GUY lol. During an investigation, one of Drake’s experiments, a Symbiote  (alien like creature) merges with Eddie’s body. BAAAM, look who has strength and super powers. Twisted, dark and fueled by rage, Venom tries to control Eddie.  As always, Marvel never fails to bring humor to all their movies, good story line, the connection between Venom/Eddie was great. Hardy’s performance does not disappoint and keeps you entertained. Starts off a little slow, then picks up as the story develops. 2ThumbsUP gives this movie a 3.5/5. 

Don’t leave the theater until you see the teaser, for what’s to come………

 

ANT-MAN AND THE WASP!

Marvel, Marvel and Marvel… Damn (expressed in a good way) the franchise, just keeps us on our toes with their movies. Barely getting over with the last traumatic ending in Infinity War, yet again they shock us with Ant-Man!!!

LET’S GO

ANT-MAN and the  WASP – First of all Paul Rudd, PERFECT choice for the role. At first, I was like PAUL RUDD playing a SUPERHERO, no way bad choice. Yes I was wrong, he plays Ant-Man so well. After the success of the last one, the second installment succeeds again to keeps us entertained. He is approached by Hope aka THE WASP and Dr. Hank Pym, to help rescue Mrs. Pym from the other realm (those of you who haven’t watched the first one, you won’t know what this means LOL.)  The mission soon leads to secret revelations from the past and they battle against a powerful new enemy. Story was better then the first one, pretty funny, and more adventurous. Oh and PLEASE stay for the credits, mainly the first one, because you will definitely say WTF just happened, because it’s brilliantly connected to Infinity War!! 2ThumbsUP gives this movie a 4/5.  

 

Cloak & Dagger

Just when you think Marvel is done, they yet again introduce a new show on FREEFORM- CLOAK AND DAGGER. Premiered June 7th.

CLOAK & DAGGER – Two people, from completely different backgrounds acquire superpowers and fall in LOVE.. So will this be a typical LOVE story with a touch of  superhero magic. 2ThumbsUP review pending..

Deadpool 2

Marvels movie line up this year, is HIT after HIT and the franchise never falls short or disappoints. Just weeks ago with a GREATEST opening of Avengers-Infinity War, it again delivers yet another hit.

DEADPOOL 2, again entertains us tremendously. Ryan Reynolds AWESOME as before and the PERFECT choice for this series. It is full of action, hilarious, and the throwback punches of Logan, Thanos were spot on. The quick reference to pervious X-Men where Reynolds is first introduced as Deadpool during a fight with Wolverine was a unexpected surprise (ok I don’t want to give out more spoilers, so i’ll stop with this one.) Although, i felt the storyline for the first Deadpool was a little better, this movie kinda misses on a solid story. Other then that, its a total HIT. The cockiness and no filter Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) just makes this movie come to life and keeps it going. So basically if Ryan was not in this movie, it would have been flat. Props to him and his amazing performance, you killed it!!! 2ThumbsUP gives this movie 4/5, some of you may not agree with the rating, but I gave 1 extra point just for Reynolds role 🙂

Avengers: Infinity War

Finally after years in the making, and all the anticipation got to watch the movie Thursday midnight showing and didn’t get home till 3:30 a.m. LOL! Just when you think how Marvel out do the last superhero movie, it does it again and gave us another BLOCKBUSTER!!

Thanos

This is definitely the ultimate battle between superheroes, good vs. bad. It is loaded with action, love the comedy punches, the strong and powerful Thanos delivers pure EVIL (well done Josh Brolin.) I don’t want to spoil the movie for you but I will say. There are several JAW dropping scenes, that will leave you saying WHY DID THEY HAVE TO DO THAT??? The movie was worth every penny only regret- the ending just kills you and makes you wonder WTF…. 2ThumbsUP gives this 4.5/5. Some of you may not agree with my ratings but I’m just a crazy fan who LOVED the movie!!

We shall meet again THANOS!!!
